Waiver Requests

All schools and centers are required to conduct full and open searches whenever a vacancy occurs; however, we recognize that there may be some limited circumstances in which a waiver of a search to fill a position may be justified.

If the Hiring Officer believes that a vacant position might be eligible for a search waiver, they must submit the following into Workday as a confidential requisition for consideration. The requisition must accompany the waiver justification,  job posting, and job description. All requests for search waivers must be submitted by the appropriate HR Recruiter in Workday, and will be forwarded to the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs for review and consideration.
