Providing hiring officers and search committees with information on equal opportunity policies and procedures;
Interfacing with Talent Acquisition in the Division of Human Resources and the OEOP to assist hiring officers in identifying appropriate recruitment resources and strategies, including those which ensure visibility of open positions to persons with disabilities and protected veterans. All positions must be posted on the University’s Careers website. The SSCO should discuss with the hiring manager whether additional targeted posting/publicizing of the position is appropriate based on the expertise that is necessary for the role;
Monitoring and reviewing the search and selection processes to ensure compliance with Penn’s equal opportunity and human resources policies and procedures;
Reviewing all compliance forms for his/her respective school or center to ensure accuracy and compliance with equal opportunity program and human resource policies and procedures;
Consulting OEOP regarding concerns and issues related to allegations of violations of the equal opportunity program and/or human resource policies and procedures;
Signing the compliance form, before an offer of employment is extended, indicating compliance with University policy and that a good faith search has been conducted and reminding the hiring officer of records retention requirements and other responsibilities related to the conclusion of a search; and
Attending regularly scheduled Compliance Officer Meetings and training sessions.
